ABOUT

THE ARTIST

Jess English is an Australian artist and curator working and living in New York City.  She is the founder and President of the New Australian American Contemporary Art Project launched in 2013 as part of her tenure as the 2013 AusArt Fellow.

Jessie works across the mediums of photography, video, sculpture, installation and sound to tackle subjects of gender politics, national identity, subjectivity and the new social landscape of virtual interactions.

Her curatorial practices are concerned with the promotion and development of emerging and early career artists and creating a dialogue between the cultural centers of Australia and the United States.
